Making Dinner Menus

Making a dinner menu every week has been extremely helpful in saving money on groceries and reducing stress trying to put together last minute meals. I decided to go ahead and keep a weekly menu on my blog (see right column) so that other people can get ideas. I am always looking for great and new meal ideas too, so don't be shy about sharing!

You'll notice that you can click on some of the main dishes and get the recipe if you decide it is something you want to try (some of the pages have several recipes on them so you will have to scroll down to find it).

My sister Amy told me about a great website http://www.couponmom.com/ where you can learn about saving BIG money using coupons. Also, two of my favorite places to find recipes are http://thisweekfordinner.com/ and http://www.ericaspantry.blogspot.com/. So check them out, save some money and start having fun with dinner!

Haha, this is how Greg has gotten me on a grocery budget:

Here is a wad of cash for the month. When the money is gone, the food is gone. Spend it however you want, but remember: WE NEED TO EAT.

I love it. I need the visual to know my limits. And I am fond of grabbing a carton of ice cream out of the fridge at breakfast and going "you said however I want..." mwahaha

Like I told Courtney, watch my blog because my website {The Organized Chef} will be up and running really soon! I am a huge planner and I am hoping to teach people how easy it is to plan your meals a month in advance and save money by doing so! Yeah for organization - my middle name!
