Peter is doing what he loves which makes us all happy, especially him. He is doing prosthetics! We moved to St. George without a specific plan in place and I am pleased to say that the Lord has provided more than one miracle for us along the way. Peter currently works for a long time CPO (certified prosthetist/orthotist) in St. George. He (the owner) is planning to retire in about ten years and has mentioned the possibility of Peter taking over his practice at that time. It feels like a LONG time, but we know in reality it isn’t very long, and Peter won’t have to take the risk or spend the money to start his own practice from the ground up. We are crossing our fingers that we are here to stay. For now, we are grateful Peter has a wonderful (flexible) job!
(In honor of La Crescenta: Peter at our Yard Sale before we moved. We really do miss it and all our friends)
Amber:
I am working 12 hours a week as a Chiropractor’s Assistant, and am enjoying it very much. Peter watches the girls while I work, which has worked out wonderfully. I am also in the process of receiving my BS degree online from BYU-Idaho and am taking 6 credits this semester. Most importantly, I am a Mommy and a Wifey. I have discovered that while I enjoy enriching my life with wonderful extra-curricular activities, it has been exhausting trying to keep up with everything and I am planning to take school slower next semester. I am proud to announce that today I ran my first half marathon! (see pic below). I was able to jog the whole thing without walking which exceeded my initial goal, and maybe someday in the future I will try it again with a faster finish time :)
Chloe:
Oh Chloe Boey! We love our feisty little princess. She is full of fun and life and is super social. Chloe goes to preschool 3 days a week which she loves, and we love that it is just a short walk down the street. Her favorite thing to do is play with the neighbor girls next door. Chloe recently got rid of her binki for good and Grandma sent her books she now looks at every night because “big girls have books, not binkis.”
(Happy belated Halloween! Chloe the cat and Mae the bumblebee)
Mae:
Mae will be 21 months old this month, and she is growing up too fast! I want her to stay my baby forever, but then again it is fun to watch her change and grow and learn. Mae loves to put on clothes, socks and shoes, usually as much as she can put on at once. She loves to do what Chloe does, and she is learning to stick up for herself, even getting a little mean sometimes :) Mae enjoys to snuggle which we love, and she frequently asks to watch “Barney.” She loves nursery, and the nursery leaders love to have her there.
(We went to Aunt Sally's Halloween night and saw Grandma. Doesn't she make a great witch? Also, Orionna is my cousins little girl on Grandma's lap.)
Saint George:
We have really enjoyed St. George, even more than we thought we would. It has been great having my Aunt Sally so close, and she is taking care of my Grandma who is 90 years old so we get to see her often too, which we love. We frequently go on walks to the temple and the library and other parks are within walking distance as well. We have had several visitors at our home since we moved in, which is my favorite of all! Life has been so full and fun and busy that I hardly ever get time to catch up. We have been blessed insurmountably and want to thank all of our loved ones for your thoughts and prayers that we so often feel. We love you all, too!
(Popcorn and movie night when cousin Kate came to visit. Cousins Read and Gage were watching a "boy" movie in the other room. We loved seeing them).

For a minute there I thought Mae was Chloe! I just can't believe they're both so big! I still picture Chloe as Mae's age. :)
But more importantly, I'm realllly glad things have worked out so well! What a blessing. I think St. George would be an incredible place to settle down. Plus, Ryan's parents still have a house there, so hopefully we'll see you sometime in the near future!
Sounds like you guys are having fun! Congrats on your half marathon, that's SO awesome!
Hey you guys! I am so glad everything is working out so well in St. George. Way to go on the 1/2 marathon Amber! I am signed up for my first one this coming June. I probably need some tips from you. I love all the updates.
