River Trip

I must post about an epic rafting trip Peter and I took with our good friends, the Hazards, over Labor Day weekend. We spent four full days and three nights rafting the San Juan River. We would raft all day while pulling out to see sites and at the end of the day camp. Just look at the pictures and you’ll get the idea. If you haven’t ever done a multi-day rafting trip I highly recommend it! Like I said... EPIC!

Day 1-Launching:
And we're off!
Peter was THE MAN when it came to rowing.

I may or may not have permanently damaged the oar when I tried to row

Day 2- Casa Del Eco Ruins:

Good Morning! Let's get going...
And do some more rafting....

and find some cool petroglyphs.
The Awesome Hazard who made this all possible

Let's hike for a looooong ways and decide it's totally worth it when we find this!

AND This
Cambria and Me
This was seriously amazing

Goodnight Gorgeous World

Day 3-River House, bighorn sheep (and I realized the petroglyph pics I posted for day 2 were actually this day...whoops!):

We rafted a lot on this trip...in case you couldn't tell

Hello Bighorn Sheep!

More Ruins

Day 4-Takeout and Monument Valley
Our last day on the river!
Goodbye amazing views!

Adios Mexican Hat!

We're out of the water....

We ate dinner at Goosenecks? State Park, I believe

The view of Monument Valley on the drive home

Day 5-Angels Landing:
For a last hoorah (and since we hadn't been yet) we hiked Angel's Landing at Zion's on our last day with the Hazards. It was a great way to end a GREAT trip and we can't thank Tyson and Cambria enough for going to so much work for us. It was a trip to be remembered!
