Big Sister

The most common question people ask me now that baby Mae is in our lives is how Chloe takes to her new sister. Our answer is always the same... WONDERFULLY! Chloe has absolutely loved Mae from day one when we first brought her home from the hospital.

She is so concerned every time Mae makes a peep. "What's wrong, Mae?" she'll ask, or "Oh my gosh, Mae!" if Mae is crying really hard or when she spits up. She is helpful at getting us diapers and blankets and LOVES putting Mae's binki in her mouth even if Mae is sleeping and clearly doesn't need it.

I am amazed at Chloe's understanding and how instinctively she seemed to know right away that Mae belonged to our family. Now if I say something like "mommy is going to the store," Chloe says, "Mommy and Daddy and Chloe and Mae!" She wants us all to do everything together and has shown no signs of jealousy at all.

I am so proud of my big, little two year old girl! She talks up a storm. One minute she is as sweet as can be and the next she is a little sour patch, but I can't count the amount of times she makes me laugh or simply makes my heart swell with pride and love. My family is my greatest treasure. I love you Peter Chloe and Mae!
